Welcome to the Maryland Mapping Resource Guide
Maryland’s user-friendly, one-stop-shop for all things GIS!
As Maryland’s geospatial hub for discovering and accessing information about the state’s map-related resources, MMRG helps users find data, applications, Web services, people, and news. Besides accessing MMRG’s data sharing capabilities, you can check MMRG’s pages periodically for updates on GIS Coordination in Maryland.
Post Locally…Share Globally
Contributing to MMRG will improve safety in our state and our region! Customized tools let users create, post, or import their metadata to Maryland's National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI) node. MMRG offers a suite of tools that help data owners document what they are willing to share and how, along with a variety of search tools that help users learn about, preview, and access available resources. For example, links to live Web map services let users preview data via the Web before accessing data download sites, and a custom map viewer is available for searching selected Maryland government agency datasets.
Sharing Data…..Saving Lives
While the benefits of sharing information about your data include reduced redundancy and increased collaboration among data owners, one of the most critical benefits is improved decision-making during emergencies.
MMRG is made possible through the United States Geological Survey NSDI Cooperative Agreements Program grants.
